Orthodontic Retention

You've worked hard for your beautiful smile; keep it that way!

Congratulations on having your braces removed! Your smile is now beautiful, straight, and metal-free. However, your orthodontic journey isn’t over yet. To maintain your stunning results, wearing a retainer is essential for stabilizing and preserving your smile.

Orthodontic changes are semi-permanent. As you grow and age, your teeth may shift due to natural changes in your body. Retainers help control potential changes in tooth position. They serve two main purposes:

  1. Stabilization: After braces treatment, retainers hold your teeth in their correct alignment while your gums, bone, and muscles adjust to their new positions—much like a cast after surgery.

  2. Preservation: Retainers lock your teeth in their final position, preventing wear and tear from nighttime clenching and grinding.

Wearing your retainer as directed will help maintain your beautiful smile for years to come. If your retainer is lost or broken, please contact us right away or drop off your teeth model. If you have any questions about your retainer, don’t hesitate to reach out.
