Meet Dr. VanDevanter
Before selling her practice to Dr. Ben White in February of 2023, Dr. VanDevanter was in practice for over 30 years.
Education
Dr. VanDevanter grew up in Olympia, Washington. She went on to college at Western Washington University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology. She received her dental degree in 1989 from the University of Texas at San Antonio and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honorary Dental Society. She knew early in dental school that orthodontics was her life's ambition, so after graduation, she completed a Master’s degree specializing in Orthodontics for Children and Adults at the University of Washington. She went into private practice in Federal Way in 1991.
Continuing Education
Dentistry, including the specialty of orthodontics, is changing at an exceptional rate. In order to stay abreast of the most current techniques, appliances, materials and safety improvements, an orthodontist must attend continuous education courses. This is of great importance to me and enables me to provide the most current, innovative orthodontic care.
